Afolabi Akeem Lanre

Mr. Afolabi Akeem Lanre is a seasoned finance professional with a strong academic foundation and over a decade of progressive experience in financial management, budgeting, revenue assurance, and reporting. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the prestigious University of Ilorin and a Master’s degree in Finance from the National Open University, Lagos. He is also a student member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

Mr. Afolabi began his finance career at United Bank for Africa (UBA), Oregun Branch, where his dedication and innovative contributions to the Fund Transfer Unit earned him the award of “Best Staff of the Year.”

In 2009, he joined Food Concepts Plc as an Accounts Payable and Receivable Officer. In recognition of his outstanding performance, Mr. Afolabi was promoted in 2013 to the position of Associate, Budget and Budgetary Control. He was tasked with the preparation of monthly and annual sales budgets on a store-by-store basis across Nigeria, which played a pivotal role in management performance reviews and strategic decision-making.

Building on his exceptional track record, Mr. Afolabi was promoted again in 2017 to Revenue Assurance Manager. In this capacity, he was instrumental in analyzing financial data, reviewing customer accounts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance revenue accuracy and strengthen internal controls. His efforts significantly improved revenue collection processes and reduced discrepancies. In recognition of his achievements, he was nominated for and successfully completed a professional certification in Cash and Working Capital Management (ICAN).

In May, 2024, Mr. Afolabi joined Farmgate Global Concepts as the Company Accountant. He currently oversees the timely preparation of critical financial reports including the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement. Under his leadership, the company accounting process has been seamless and timely, which has greatly supported strategic management decision-making.
